‘When you’re the real deal, you don’t have to pretend,’ Richards declared in recent days when defending her claim to not have used Ozempic, according to Page Six.

The Los Angeles native, who’s the last remaining original cast member of RHOBH, has maintained that

‘After gaining weight during the summer — on July 15 — after getting off the boat I said “That is it. I’m not having any sugar, any carbs, any alcohol,”‘ Richards, 54, told fellow RHOBH cast mates Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge on Monday’s episode of Two Ts In A Pod.

‘A lot of people think I’ve been taking Ozempic. To clarify I’ve never taken Ozempic,’ she reiterated, while referencing the diabetes drug that’s being used to lose weight by many people in recent times.

She also noted that she wasn’t using Mounjaro either, a similar diabetes medication being used for weight loss, or ‘any of the shots’ such as Wegovy or Saxenda.

Not having it: The reality star has shot down rumors that she used the diabetes medication Ozempic to shed pounds in more recent months

Initially, Richards was only going to drastically change her diet by cutting sugar, carbs, and alcohol for ‘maybe two or three weeks’, but she ended up revising that plan rather quickly when she noticed the benefits of her new lifestyle.

‘I started losing weight and I felt so good. I was like “why would I go back to that?”‘ Richards shared. ‘So I still have not had alcohol at all, and you know, I’ll have a bite of birthday cake here and there but that’s it.’

Amid all the rumors that she has undergone surgery to help her lose weight, Richards went on to explain that she has only underwent a breast reduction surgery.

Semaglutide, sold under the brand names Ozempic, Wegovy and Rybelsus, is an antidiabetic medication used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and as anti-obesity medication for long-term weight management, developed by Novo Nordisk in 2012, according to Wikipedia
